Quick answer

From Mushroom Village Beacon, move toward the bonfire gathering and find the freestanding stone arch. Pass through the arch to reveal the hidden pickup area, take the Chapel Key, then return through Mushroom Village to the locked chapel by the Grisha Hunter camp. It opens the Shrine of Trials and leads toward the Axe & Dagger reward.

Do this first

  1. Start at Mushroom Village Beacon and clear the route toward the bonfire.
  2. Find the freestanding stone arch and pass through its center.
  3. Collect the Chapel Key from the revealed statue area.
  4. Return past the beacon toward the Grisha Hunter camp and caged pup.
  5. Use the key on the chapel door and enter the Shrine of Trials.
01

The visibility detail is disputed

Current guides agree on the beacon, bonfire, arch, hidden statue area, chapel and Shrine reward. They do not all agree on whether Night Mode is required for the reveal. Try the arch normally first; if nothing appears, switch to Night Mode and repeat the approach before assuming the route is bugged.

02

Do not confuse the local keys

The Chapel Key opens the nearby chapel and Shrine of Trials. The Cage Key frees the local Grisha pup, while the Crypt Key belongs to the distant Hall of Echoes route. Confirm the inventory name before searching for another door.

03

Prepare before entering

The Shrine is a dungeon with combat and puzzle rooms, not a safe reward chamber. Activate a useful checkpoint, spend vulnerable currency and bring healing before opening the door.
